Marriage prior to birth date?

Hi Charles,

That looks like a result of the merge on the 29th. The marriage is not in the marriage field, but down in the gedcom information. Even if it is wrong that information is left until the pm (or someone else) can go in and research the merged profile and find sources with better information. Hopefully someone finds a marriage date that is more appropriate
Edit: The marriage listed is actually for his mother if you look at the names in the record.

There are a number of marriages with the name James Murdoch in Ayrshire, Scotland on FindMyPast, but I don't see any in Commondyke if that is where he married.
