What is the correct title form for British Earls?

+3 votes
I have just created a few profiles for folk who were Earls of Cairns or Earl Cairns's.  Not being certain of the correct form would someone on the United Kingdom Project please create and complete the proper categorisation?  1st to 5th Earls have been profiled.

Kenneth I had a quick look and it appears that the correct title is simple "Earl Cairns". This is because somewhat unusually though not uniquely, the title simply repeats the family name of the holder whereas most Earldoms have a territorial description, usually a county or city.

Thanks so much, Mark.
