How do you align a sticker to the left?

I notice that some stickers just live to sit on the right side - is there a way to code them for left or middle?

I'm not sure this is allowed per policy and standard - See Location on the profile

Profile Stickers go in the text section of the edit page below the Biography headline. There should be no extra hard returns above or below it, and no horizontal rules (----).

Would not attempting to change the alignment change the horizontal rule?

this seems to have been written before the coding was sorted or by someone who never worked with the code - if you put all of your data & stickers like this, you have a mess of text above/between & around stickers.

On second look, I went and deleted all the hard returns and pofile looks OK ;-)

Glad it worked for you. I wasn't sure if that was applicable as I couldn't see the profile but figured it worthy of consideration.

Stickers are designed that way on purpose and cannot be changed.  They are to be placed under the ==Biography== heading without lines or being put into any other formatting such as a table. Please see this page for help with understanding Stickers:

I expect they could be coded - but that's a Leader-only privilege and they would have to change the entire template to do so.

I don't recall whether I ever tried this, but it might work if you put the sticker in a table - then again it might not!

The term Sticker is usually connotation of something prepared by a project and as such can likely be "hard coded" as to size, placement, etc., and does it add a profile to a category or not.  With this in mind, there are other ways of aligning images by creating your own template see https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Template:Image.

I like this idea.
me too

that page is bookmarked ;-)

Thanks David....... I think surprise.... just when I thought I was getting a grip on things all WikiTree.      I might just stick to trying to have quality sources for a while,  I could easily get bogged down in graphics..... but this will definitely be homework in the future.

It's not that hard.  When you upload a photo or whatever, then scroll down and look on the right-hand side, it will give you all these templates and parameters and all that good stuff, already wrapped and presented for you to use in your profile. wink

It came on my radar when choosing an image to direct to another space.  Very helpful!

Ok, you've talked me over the hump.  I'll try it tomorrow.  indecision

smileyHey Guys,

I  "came back new"  this morning.   Yes,  it was easy!    What a fun new "tool"....
