Looking for parents of Anna Williamson Engert

+4 votes
We've tried to deal with the children of Anna Engert -- her son William is in the 1880 census twice.

This time I'm asking about her parents. My mother recorded them as James Williamson (no other data) and Lena Gardner (maybe 1793-1863). Any information out there?

Anna's profile has all I know about her.

That 1900 Census shows the Anna Rebecca (Williamson) Engert as the mother of Mary Ellen Engert in the family of Walter Kinney. I'm looking for Anna's mother. I already saw that the census record has the middle initial of "E" and my mother's record show a middle name of "Rebecca." I've had enough issues of with the census that I'll stick to Rebecca until I have more reliable sources.

Maryland, Compiled Marriages, 1655-1850 [database on-line]. Provo, UT, USA: Ancestry.com Operations Inc, 2004.

Name: Ann Rebecca Williamson
Gender: Female
Marriage Date: 15 Aug 1845
Spouse: John Augustus Engert
Spouse Gender: Female
County: Frederick County

According to my mother's records Clara and William Williamson are likely the children of Warren Williamson, Anna's brother. This is at least worth exploring.

Thank you for the marriage record. I didn't have that.

Family trees are generally not considered a "source" as they are frequently incorrect. Actual documents are what are needed on profiles to insure accuracy in data.
