Can someone please help me understand this German Parish Register Extract?

If Marie Barbara Bayer is Johann Martin Bayer’s mother, then who is her husband? Is this the way an Parish Extract looks when it records a time when someone’s daughter had an illegitimate birth?

Any ideas you may have will be greatly appreciated.

George,

I'd be glad to shar the document images. How do I post an image in this comment box?
George,

I figured it out. I uploaded two images of sources on my profile page. Please take a look when you can.

"This image is privacy protected. Only the thumbnail is open."

The thumbnail isn't readable

John

As Patrick noted only the thumbnail is visible. I have uploaded a photo only once, and that was my profile picture, so I am of no help. I have seen that this is not an uncommon problem.

Wouldn’t it be nice if WikiTree were easier to use?

George

Hi:

There were often illegitimate births recorded, sometimes even with the father's name.  It happened.

Hi,

I’ve recently been in contac with a nice man who work in the State Archives in Gaildorf.  He sent me some documents and explained the following so I could understand the document.   So O-O means illegitimate

Good luck!

Debbie Risberg

O-O means „illegitimate“

OO means „marriage”

Debbie,

Thank you for your clear explanation and for sharing the information you found from your contact in Gailsdorf, a town in the district of Schwaibish Hall, in Baden-Wuerttemberg, Germany, where many of the ancestors on my mother's side lived.

The birth document in question does have the O-O symbol. It was hand written just above the child's birthdate in 18.1.1830.

And thank you all for helping to answer my question.
