I'm looking for any information on Simeon Lockwood, born 1824 in Brighouse, Yorkshire. He is the son of John Lockwood (1793-1868) & Mary Mellor (1796-1863). They both died in Trenton, NJ.

Simeon had 7 siblings: James, Joseph, Mary, Elizabeth, David, John & Charles Mellor. All siblings immigrated to Trenton except James & David. James stayed in Northumberland , England & David moved to Georgetown, CT.

There are some records of Simeon, but none of his wife or children. He was married & had at least 2 children. I know this from reading old family letters. Any help locating records of them is greatly appreciated.

Not sure if this is the right one or not, but if his wife was Susannah, you may be in luck. I did a search on Ancestory.com and found this in the West Yorkshire, England, Marriages and Banns, 1813-1935:

1844, August 27 in the Parish of Halifax(?)
Sim(c)on Lockwood, age 20, bachelor, {can't read the profession}, residence in Northowram(?), father - John Lockwood, whose occupation is wire-drawer(?)

and

Susannah Gledhill, age 20, spins(ter), no profession, same residence, father James Gledhill, whose occupation is weaver

I downloaded a copy of the register page. If you would like it, send me a private message from  profile Ebenstein-4.
