York Minster organist profiles could use some TLC [closed]

The Camidge family had several generations of organists, several of them at York Minster. Biographies are not my strength but I thought someone else might want to work on them. This family is also not yet connected to the main tree. (If anyone can connect them to William Camidge (Camidge-47) you would have my deep appreciation. I have failed to do so but would love to be able to tell my uncle how we are connected.)

The organists (who together have a wikipedia entry as well as entries in a variety of other sources) are:

  • John Camidge - Camage-7 (father Robert does not yet have a profile - he might be this Robert https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:JW9Q-4BD )
  • Matthew Camidge - Camidge-56
  • John Camidge - Camidge-53 - his poor wife Elizabeth lacks a LNAB and so has no profile yet
  • Thomas Simpson Camidge - Camidge-52 - no profiles yet for his wife or many children. I think one of these children is also an organist

Thank you for bringing these profiles to our attention. As leader of the Yorkshire team for the England Project, I find them very interesting. They all need more work and the biographies can certainly be improved. I am not sure that I have the time to do the necessary work, but I think that the England Project might be interested in them. Some of our BioBuilders and Connectors might be willing to work on them. I will bring them to the attention of the project team.

The England Project has adopted https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Camage-7  and it looks like we have at least one member willing to work on the profiles.

Thank you!
I'm working on some basic bios and research - just record information at first, but I'll go back and look at the books about this family after. If anyone wants to add categories or pictures or anything else feel free. I'll list the profiles I've gone over here:

1. Mary Shaw https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Shaw-14310 (Birth and christening not found - too many records to narrow down yet, 2 children with no profiles).

2. Emily Camidge https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Camidge-57

I've been able to add a couple of sources for John's marriage to Elizabeth Dickinson in 1817.

Elizabeth's father seems to have been this Charles:

And her grandfather was Vickris Dickinson  (who is already connected to the global tree).

Thank you Carol. I knew one of our England connectors would be able to help. All we need now is someone to create the profiles.
