Albert Mecklenburg, K. of Sweden

This is really out of my area, so if my questions are out of ignorance, just ignore.

Albert here has the LNAB of Mecklenburg, but as his father was from Mecklenburg-Schwerin, and his two brothers go by the same, would not Albert have Schwerin included in his name?

Also, as he was asking of Sweden, does he not get the suffix for that?

Sources are gedcom and Ancestry trees. Pretty weak, as is the bio for someone who reigned as long as he did.

I’m not pre-1500s certified; it’s beyond me. Can someone who is check this out? The profile needs improvement (like mine don’t!). Thanks!

Hi Pip,

Sweden project will be working through all the Swedish kings eventually, but it is a slow and ongoing work. I will check out this profile tonight or tomorrow.

Shouldn't this profile be corrected to show Preferred Name: Albert III and Other Nicknames: King of Sweden?

Yes, probably. Why don't you do it?
