Done all of my research on Ancestry, but I have a conflict, Ancestry and other online sources have William Boteler son of Sir John Boteler and William having children of which I would be my ancestor, but several ancient publications have William as being childless. Additionally, my DNA is 30% Scandinavian (Boteler) of which I have no other Scandinavian ancestors.

Which sources on Ancestry have you found for him?
Well, I new to this so bare with me, I just liked fathers through Ancestry and the same lines are on profiles on this site; however, I am always searching around because I want to be accurate and found a publications from the 1800's on the Chester family and in it a Boteler female married into the family and so the Boteler heritage was list, which confirmed from Ralph I to Sir John and his son William. But, it stated that William died without children. The book is pretty through and so I am looking for information.
