Hi Eric,
Since the profile of William Lord-69 is in the Puritan Great Migration Project, a great deal of weight is placed on, "what did R.C. Anderson say in his Great Migration?" PGM profiles are dependent on his works.
A quick check of the featured name of Thomas Lord, William's father, says on p. 333 of Vol. V, I - L: "William Lord... m (1) by 1643 _____ _____ (eldest known child b. Saybrook 'in October in the year 1643' and m (2) in or soon after 1664 Lydia (Buckland) Brown, daughter of Wm. Buckland and widow of John Brown.
So his first wife is unknown.
The biography itself states his first wife is unknown, no documention to prove Hattie Nickerson.
On this basis, it would be good to break the connection. (1st) First, leave a comment on your intension and ask if there are any objections. (2nd) Wait a few days. (3rd) Then put a detailed note at the beginning of the biography, including link to Hattie Nickerson. (4th) include detailed note on the profile of Hattie Nickerson-30 also.
If any sort of documentation surfaces in the future, they are easily reconnected as husband and wife.
