Chuck, the Changes tab on your mother's profile indicate that you connected her current father.

If you can't fix it as described below, contact the profile manager for https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Stone-4973

She is probably as eager to correct it as you are.

ETA She has not been active for over a year.  High probability she won't respond.  WT has a way to deal with that.  One step at a time, though.

Looks like you fixed it.  Well done.

You're Welcome!

Could you provide the profile? We would need to see it to know what type of problem has occurred. Also, was it added by someone else or a mistake that you made? The approach to take is a bit different for each case. If you caused it, then you would need to go to your mother's profile and enter Edit. Then in the right hand column you can select "replace/remove father" and follow the instructions there. If someone else added it, first thing would be to contact that person and explain the problem. Part of the explanation would be the documentation on why you believe it to be wrong.

Very odd, considering no match of names, and no sources on the new profile.  May be a mistake.  You should be able to edit your mother's profile, and on the right side under the erroneous father, click 'Replace/remove father.'  If it won't let you do it, the problem may be the false father's privacy setting.

I highly recommend that you go forward armed with documented information about the correct father.  Could this be them?
