My unsourced family tree listed George Ann Riddle as the daughter of John William Riddle and Mary Adeline Meyers. And the wife of William Royse. George Ann cannot be found in any of the census records. Could anyone help me find soem more info pertaining to her?

Hi Marlena

There are census records for Georgiann. They were on her husband's profile. I've added records to her profile too. There were some available connected to a FamilySearch profile for her.

Were there specific Census records that you're looking for?

If the death dates are correct for her and her husband. You may not find her as head of household after her husband's death in 1898. Add profiles for all of her children, and find Census records for them. You may discover that she's living with one of her children in 1900 and in 1910.

Note that the 1890 Census is mostly gone, as the records were destroyed in a fire.

If you're looking for her in older census records, then you can look at her father's profile on FamilySearch here:

There seems to be a lot of attached records. The trick is to make sure that her parents are actually correct. I haven't gone through these records yet to verify. Perhaps you'll find what you're looking for....

Thanks Eric,

Thats what I am trying to confirm is that her parents are who they say they are. I haven't been able to find a census record of her parents with her listed on it yet. Which is honestly what I am trying to find to connect her to them.

Hmm.

If Georgiann was born in 1842, she would have been 18 years old in the 1860 Census.

The 1860 Census of John Riddle does not show a Georgiann. She could have already been married by then. We don't know yet, because an 1860 Census record hasn't been found yet for her, or her husband.

An 1850 Census record for John Riddle might show her on there, but again, no 1850 Census record has been found yet for him.

Other alternatives are to find her death record, to see if lists her parents on there, or a marriage record for her that lists her parents.
