Question

I have no idea what Melissa's role is but if she enabled the merging of a couple of matches which appear obvious, then great and thank you. But this congratulatory over-hyping may be OK in the US of A but grates elsewhere where we do things for more genuine reasons. I hope that Melissa may think likewise.

No, it was not intended as an insult at all. I was  trying to comment on my failure to understand why we get asked to over-hype after we have made a genuine thank you. I think it may be a comment on an aspect of US culture which other cultures just cannot understand.
