Is there a project that covers pre-1700 people in Lanarkshire, Scotland??

I want to help contribute to the deep genealogy on our shared tree.

1.) Geographical region and time period:   [Lanarkshire, Scotland 1665.]

2.) Some example names and dates:   [Robert Dunsmuir- 1665 (Dinsmore-577) ]

3.) Source(s) for my information on them:   [Family contacts, IGI]

Before I get started adding and changing profiles, can you tell me if there is a WikiTree project that would cover these people? If so, how do I get in touch with the project members to coordinate and collaborate on the profiles?

Hello, Pam,

I see these general Scotland projects:

And check the One Name Studies list for particular names.

If you haven't been granted the pre-1700 status, you won't be able to edit those profiles.

"Family contacts"  are unlikely to be valid sources for people who lived more than 300 years ago. The IGI data are collected from numerous locations and are not checked for accuracy. I would not accept "IGI" as a source in a profile, and it should not be a reason for making changes in a profile. If you can determine what the source from which IGI got its data AND validate that source, then you should use that source for editing a profile.

Hi Pam,   This profile would come under the Scotland Project which is a sub of the UK Project.    You might want to try the  web site   Their indexes are free to view.
