Elizabeth Rice Johnson was my great, great great grandmother.  she was married to Charles Johnson. Elizabeth was from New Haven, CT. she was born  Oct. 22, 1769 d. December 25, 1840 There are about 50 Rices in the Wallingford, CT Center Street .cemetery, So I wonder if this might be her family.  She is buried in Cornwallville, Greene county, NY along with her husband, Charles,; also son Solomon R. Johnson and his wife Mary whittlesey, also so Edward Johnson and his wife Harried Field, also Grandson William F. Johnson and wife Mary A. Simmons.  Next to this 4 sided monument is a smaller one for son Collins B. Johnson and wife Charlotte Field. I believe her son Charles was a local teacher there.

Elizabeth and Charles had the following children: Philo b. about 1795 who married Esther Newell,;, Solomon Rice Johnson,  b.  1797;, Edward b. about 1802;, Collins  Barker  Johnson;, Charles Johnson, married Eliza Ann Mulford;,  Phebe Johnson b. abt 1796. d. abt 1830  who married Abner Cowles.  Mary Johnson married David  cornwall,;  Eliza Johnson  married Otis Bartlett Wattles;, Julia Johnson,  married William bush.

My great, great granparents Philo and Esther Newell Johnson moved from Durham to Gilboa, Schoharie county, NY  . After Esther died Philo moved to Stamford, NY where he lived with his 3 unmarried daughters: Elizabeth, Frances and Delia until he died.  Esther and Philo also had a daughter Mary and sons Edgar and George all of whom married.

You can see I know a lot about my family except Elizabeth Rice. I do not know her ID #.  Rice 2470
