I just found a letter I ahd for many years. Since I am doing my dad`s side I found that my grandparent Village  records were destroyed  in 1943 when the War passed through their village. How do you go about trying to find information??

Specifics, please?

Bishop's or archive copies were mandated from the early 1800s in most places in the Kingdom of Hungary, so even if the original registers were destroyed, there may be surviving records in the county archives -- and those records may be digitized and online on FamilySearch. (They have a lot of Slovakian church books indexed, too.)
