Children's names

Sometimes I just have to smile at some of my ancestors and how they named their children.  Americus was the first born and seemingly named after Amerigo Vespucci.  Then the next birth: twins and they named the boys Christopher and Columbus ... gotta love it!

Those are so cool that I’m not going to share my nutty mountain family names. Well, maybe one, Lusla, an uncle. At least the Jewett family had sense enough to use “real” names attached to history.
