how do I change incorrect surnames, as in "surnames related to this question".

If the person has a profile on WikiTree, click EDIT on the top row.

Once the profile comes up, scroll down to Last Name and click on the [edit] button next to it. 

If you're not the profile manager, you would need to find the profile on the public view page and look on the left for this:

Profile manager: _________  [send private message]

Then you can send that manager your query and why you think the correction needs to be made.

Actually, what I was asking has to do with the part that states "surnames related to the question". Like you find the correct spelling is Reeves instead of Reese, but it listed under Reese! So others looking to answer a question about Mary Reeves wouldn't find it because it is under Reese! Thank You:-))))

Chris Hoyt answered this question assuming you're asking about editing someone's surname on WikiTree. (Thanks for all the help you give people, Chris!)

Is it possible you're asking about editing the surname tags on a G2G question? If so, you can do it yourself by editing the question. Look for the little "edit" link under the question. If you're not the person who asked the question, you'll need a Supervisor to do it.

That is confusing, because once something is posted the edit no longer appears! So, I have tried getting some else to do it however it states you must be a member? Anyway, the post that state surnames Reese, should be Reeves, and the question under Sexton for Mary Elizabeth (SEXTON) Reese should be Reeves! The question in regard to John D Sexton should be Reeves Sexton instead of Reese Sexton.
