Two managers yet unsourced

Does anyone else feel like I am beginning to?  When I go to New York Unsourced profiles pages and check and find 200 to 400 profiles under some letters, I am beginning to skip profiles that, when I click on the profile and find two or more managers, I click right out of it and move on without trying to source them.  If they can't or don't feel any responsibility, why should I?  I usually do look for sources for single managers and always do for no manager profiles.

Managers are not always active. Just look at how long it takes to do merges, usually the 30 days. Some come, some go, some are dead.

You do better than I as I very rarely go to unsourced profiles and add the sources they deserve. So I congratulate you for giving them the honor they deserve. With that being said, don’t hold it against them because two or more people did not do what they should have done.  I would view them all as equally deserving. You are punishing the wrong person.

Now that I’ve said that, I will go do a few unsourced profiles because I think I owe you for for the good work you’ve done.

I have too many poorly sourced profiles that manage to start looking at others unless I’m related in some way. Hang in there, Beulah (have always loved that name).

I spent two and a half years sourcing my orphaned family gedcom.  I did
around 5000 or more profiles in it.  I guess it just got into my blood.  My
own profiles are sourced as far as I can for now.  What I lack is the interest to add biographies.   Every once in a while I screw up my courage and add a little to some of them.  I guess the real reason I avoid it is because of the disasterous tries to use in line sourcing.  Now I just list the sources and write the biography with numbers for the sources facts.  I am just too old at 81 too bother myself with trying any more on
in line sourcing.

While I sometimes find it annoying, I also look at some of the ones I'm now on the trusted list for and have come to a better understanding. I'm slowly fixing those but they aren't sourced because they were added by someone who got the data from someone else and doesn't "own" the family. That is, name collectors. So, I look to see how recently a profile might have been updated and if it has been more than a year I'll work on it. I do go through periods of sourcing a region and others where I work on my own stuff.
