Stumbled on a New England Genealogy group (again)

Have you ever so thoroughly lost track of something you joined that you totally forgot it existed? I'm a member of the Pleasant River Historical Society facebook group

Facebook was kind enough to let me know someone had posted something. This so seldom happens with facebook for me. Well, this led me to a reference to New England Family Genealogy and History. Since it looked interesting and was a closed group I decided to try joining it. This was difficult as I was already a member. OOOPS. I did notice references to things on Ancestry, Familysearch AND WikiTree.

So, this would be another place to ask questions, look for answers, and share things you find. I prefer G2G of course but another potential area never hurts.

Thanks for sharing these links Steven! There are some really great genealogy facebook groups - I belong to many and also run groups for my one place studies..

Katherine R. Willson maintains a pdf listing of 12,300+ links to English speaking facebook groups & pages related to genealogy and history - just don't hit the print button as it runs to 329 pages!!

You can access the pdf from Katherine's webpage.

Added the link to my info tab in the sheet and sent her the Pleasant River link. Thanks.

I found my entire maternal line through a group on Facebook. What I like with the groups that I joined is that we help each other, like we do on WikiTree.
