Is it possible to add multiple spouses/partners to one person's profile and their children on WikiTree?

I would like to add some of my ancestors but their lives did not fit into the two parent and their kids category, Before I add any of them can someone tell me how you add multiple spouses/partners to one person's profile (and of course without previous spouses/partners being attached as well)? Also how do you add the many children that resulted from people having multiple spouses/partners with those children being attributed to the right set of parents and not to previous spouses/partners? Any advice will be gratefully received. Maree.

Like Fiona said, adding the correct children to the correct parent match-up. You can go into the edit tab for any profile and add another spouse, without an issue. You just need to be careful while adding children of people with multiple spouses so that the right child is attributed to the right spouse.

For example, my great-grandfather Leonard (Utting-6) was married twice. He's listed as the husband of both Grace Press and Winifred Taylor, and all of his children are listed under. It is when you go into their individual profiles that you can see that his son Walter is his child by Grace, while his remaining children (including my grandfather, John) were born to Winifred.

In a case like that the Family Group Sheet is always useful as an overview.

Just add the right parents to their children. Connect the parents up where appropriate.

When you Add a child to a parent in an existing Profile who has a spouse linked to them, scroll to the bottom of the Add Page and there will be Check Box next to the name of the spouse to insure linking to the spouse.

When you add a child to a parent with multiple spouses, and if the spouses have been added and linked in WIkiTree, then scroll to the bottom of the Add Page and there should the names of the different spouses with a Check Box next to each name that you can mark to link that child to their correct parent.

So in a situation with more than one spouse, iti's usually best to enter all spouses before adding children from different spouses so this link function appears and facilitates linking both parents correctly.  At least that is what I do to help me prevent a mix up....which I have done more than a few times and had to fix.  LOL.
