James was born in Virginia 27 Feb 1933. His parents were John Luster Hackney and his wife Tabitha. I added profiles for them on WikiTree.
Interestingly I found out that he died from an electrical storm passed over a large portion of Alabama Wednesday morning Jun 25, 1895. James Hackney who was standing in a doorway watching the storm in Lincoln, Alabama, was struck by a bolt and met instant death. He was 62 at the time of his death.
