I wanted to share this family photo of Mary Binneboese with the community hoping someone out there might be able to help me identify the other four sisters in the photo. (My grandmother Mary is on the far right.)

If there sisters the 1900 Census might shed some light

Elizabeth Ahrendt born about 1877

Mary Ahrendt born about 1895

Sophia Ahrendt born about 1898

Louisa Ahrendt born about 1900 was about 3 months at the 1900 Census

Great picture... By the way they're lined up perhaps they are in order by age -- families often do that. If that's true, then the question is which end shows the youngest and which end show the oldest???

I was wondering that myself. My grandmother Mary was the oldest and is on the far right. In another photo, taken years earlier with only four of the sisters, she is far left. I'll try and share that too.

Marvelous photo. There just has to be a relative who can identify the sisters. Know any second cousins? Got another picture to compare it to? The second from the left looks an awful lot like your grandmother.

I would have loved to have had five daughters!

I have 2 non-biological sisters. 1 would have been enough. I think my shoulders still have fingernail marks.

I found a 1910 Census that shows Carl Arendt as father and Elizabeth as mother in Iowa - Plymouth - Grant - District 0109

Carl - 44

Elizabeth 33

Mary 16

Sophia 12

Louisa 10

Ida 6

Bertha 3

also found information that showed that Mary was born March 7, 1895 and married a Binneboese.

Louise was born February 17, 1900 and married a Kruse.

Sophia was born July 22, 1897 and married a Zieger

Ida was born October 2, 1903 and married a Peterson

and the only thing I could find on Bertha was that she was born in 1907.
