Could Daniel-5105 be the son of Daniel-731?

It appears Daniel-731 fell from history after he left Virginia. Has anyone been able to trace him from there? I believe he may have resurfaced in Kentucky (via NC), but can't find anything conclusive to link him back to his origins in Virginia.

On 5105 you have an 1830 census record. 5105 would have been 12 years old and would not be a head of household for the census. Census records until 1850 listed only the adult head of household
In the 1820 census for Virginia, there are 144 Daniel households. Check them for a male under ten. Make a list. Then go to the 1830 census, look for a male child over ten.  Cross check records for matches, like wills etc for mention of a son James to find your 5105 James
