The Wikitree mission is to create a world tree via collective group contributions. This collaberative effort most certainly includes Canada.

Do you have an estimated birthdate for Patrice? The records I have found have his birthdate from 1867 to 1919. At least four different wives are listed, but none have the name Lea La Blanc.

I'm not sure if   this is the correct Patrice, but this looks like a possible candidate listed in the 1901 Canadian Census:

Perhaps if I find the correct Patrice I can find Lea La Blanc.

Name: Patrice Doiron
Gender: Male
Marital Status: Single
Age: 6
Birth Day & Month: 7 Aug
Birth Year: 1895
Birthplace: Nb
Relation to Head of House: Fils (Son)
Father's Name: Désérè P Doiron
Mother's name: Céline Doiron
Racial or Tribal Origin: French

In the Drouin Collection, I found a marriage record between a Patrice Doiron and Lee/Lea LeBlanc. The date appears to be January 9, 1905, and the place is St. Anselme de Fox-Creeks, Westmoreland, N.B. I hope that helps!

And like the others said, yes, WikiTree includes Canada. It's a worldwide family tree.

Marsha - If you use the federated search you can also find a record (no image) for an 1826 land petition with the names Marcelle LeBlanc and Israel Gould that might be of interest, based on the name change you mention.

possibly the mother of the bride: http://archives.gnb.ca/Search/VISSE/141C5.aspx?culture=en-CA&guid=D5FA1D8C-ECF3-47AB-9C6C-860E94DB28D4

There is also a land grant from Westmorland in 1917 bearing the name leblanc with the names Marc A., Albini A., and Delphine A.
