Help, all these sources & I can't find a date of death or burial

Question

i have found 10 sources (see profile for detail)  for Joseph Charles Lockwood that cite everything from birth, parents, siblings, children, marriage, christening to residences & dates of death of wife & children. However, I can't find anything for him.

The last record for him has him living in a boarding house in Trenton, NJ in 1920 per the US Census (I don't know why this is because he had six children living in Trenton in 1920). Anyway, I can find nothing about his date of death or where he is buried (his wife, Elizabeth "Lizzie" Grinrod Lockwood,  & several children are buried in Greenwood Cemetery in Trenton, NJ).

Any help or hints are greatly appreciated.

Have you tried calling the cemetery where his wife is buried?  I had a case like this in Oklahoma where access to death records is nigh to impossible.  The man's wife was buried and had a headstone, but there was no stone for him.  First I called the township offices and was told to call back later as they had some computer problems they were working on.  Then I called the cemetery itself and was told that the local library had records.  I called the library and talked to an angel who went above and beyond all my expectations and was able to tell me that yes, he was buried there beside his wife without a stone.  She gave me the date of death.  Now, if I'm stumped, I call the cemetery or the township offices and try to speak to the person who has the cemetery map.  They have to know who is buried where so they don't accidently bury people on top of each other.
