I would like some help with the children of Edward Braddock 1650-1725, I've read through many stories that are conflicting with each other. Right now there are five children listed.

  1. Robert Braddock
  2. Gen. Edward Braddock Confirmed
  3. Henrietta Braddock
  4. Edward Braddock
  5. Johannes Braddock Unlikely, possibly a Brother

In the Book Life of Washington: A Biography, Personal, Military, and Political, Volume 1 1860 Link , It mentions that Edward left behind 2 daughters and one son.

In the Book "A Genealogical and Personal History of Bucks County, Pennsylvania" By William Watts Hart Davis, John Sellers Braddock is a Lineal descendant of Raphael Braddock (2x Great grandfather), of Maryland, who served in the French and Indian war under the command of his cousin (Not Brother), General Edward Braddock...

On Findagrave "His cousins, John and Raphael Braddock, came to America about the same time, located in Baltimore county, Maryland, served in the Revolution, ..."

I found a will on ancestry, however, it's hard to read some of the handwriting

WikiTree says his son Edward b 1695 was born in Perthshire, but Oxford DNB says he was baptized at St Margaret's Westminster.

So next question would be whether any siblings were baptized at St Margaret's.

I’ve been trying to find the same answer as I think many people are.  I have been writing down all of the references from the book “I’ll-starred General:  Braddock of the Coldstream Guard” to see if they provide any insight.  In the book the author seems to indicate there were five children:  two sons and three daughters but I haven’t found names for all of them yet.

In Edwards' will on ancestry.com, It only mentions two daughters (Frances and Henrietta) and one son Edward.

I believe John b.1685 and Robert b.1684 were brothers and the nephews to Edward

I haven't found any information on Edward b.1706

Nick what line is your Braddock line?
The book I mentioned above also lists that he has a third daughter from his first marriage to Dorothy Lambert.

I’m a descendent of the Ralph/Raff Braddock line of Braddock’s in the Chesterfield SC area.  He’s as far back as we have been able to trace thanks to family records.  We believe his fathers name was Edward but we haven’t been able to find records of him. I was intrigued by the Edward b1706 since this is the first place I have seen that and it would potentially fit as being Ralph’s father but I haven’t found any info or records on that other than what’s on this site.
