I have just come across a person born in 1637 that has a DNA test. It obviously cannot be right. How do I deal with it?

Also found another entered by the same person. Its https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Turton-295
I’ve added these two to the DNA Test Misplaced category [[Category: DNA Test Misplaced]].  I hope someone will contact the person who added that test information and let them know that it must only be entered on the actual test taker’s profile.

I'd suggest politely contacting the member. It may be a confusion about confirmed with DNA, or thinking about how many generations a test can go back.

(As the test is with one of the companies that does testing on the general public, it seems very unlikely the supposed testee was dug up and DNA extracted from their bones.)

You are correct. What it should have said is "It may be possible to confirm family relationships with XXXX by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. Y-chromosome DNA test-takers in his direct paternal line on WikiTree:"

The profile manager is the one who entered the DNA trust data and apparently erred in the way it was entered; The message should have attached to his profile and then filtered back to Thomas through his family tree. Another possibility is that it is somehow a glitch in the programming occurred.
