G2G: Info regarding Noah Wilson Reeves (Reeves-3780) parents.

Question

Some sources claim Noah Riddle Reeves(b:1799) to be the father and Nancy Ann Wilson Patrick (b: 1803), as parents of Noah Wilson Reeves(b:1820) but they were never married. I have not been able to prove this.

Rumors have it that Nancy married Thomas Meshack Patrick(b:1797) but when the baby was born she gave him Reeves as his surname. Her other children had the Patrick surname. Thomas, Nancy and Noah Wilson moved to Scott County, Mississippi (1840 census), Noah Wilson married Margaret Ann Turner in 1844, they had 8-10 kids, he died in 1868.

I found this FamilySearch profile (with limited sources) listing Noah Riddle REEVES as husband to a Dorothy KAY and Eliza HAMMOND. Aside from this, I could not find anything, I'm sorry! Good luck!

I think most of the info on FamilySearch is entered by myself. If not for info in my grandmothers 1856 edition of the Bible I would never have known any of this.

I have removed Noah Riddle Reeves as father of Noah Wilson Reeves. Lots of here say regarding this but no actual proof. Noah Wilson is still my GGgrandfather and Nancy Ann is still his mother.
