Trying to correct a mistake on free space I was making

+4 votes
I made a free  space on my watchlist. The first one I missed spelled a word so I try to correct well for some reason I could not.

So, I made another free space thinking I could combine to one. RIGHT. NOT. A highlighted top  reads can not find wikitree Id fir free space.

 1. How do I combine to one if it comes up can not find.

Then I thought well I will  delete one space. NOPE could do that either said can not find.

So question could someone delete both of these free spaces for me??

Since I seem to be having problems.

Space: The Gulish family '

If you can find them. I will keep trying on my end.

 Thank you

Go to your Watchlist, Mary. You should see 2 tabs: one for Free-Space Profiles and one for Person Profiles. Your free-spaces should be under the Free-Spaces Profile tab (obviously!).

Alternately, you can find them in your Contributions log. But the watchlist route is probably quicker.

Free-spaces can be merged or deleted. Go to the free-space's Edit page and look near the bottom right for 3 links:

change privacy level | merge | delete

That was easy. Thank you. I was going around a different  way,

Wrote that in my reminder book.
Wow! Thanks, Lindy - I never realised you could simply delete freespace pages.  So telling someone to create a new page, then merge the old page into the new page is incorrect?

That is how I was doing it the way you comment. But I seemed to have trouble. Glad Lindy answered my question That was so easy.
I've never used the delete link, Ros, so I don't know if the free-space is simply deleted. The delete link may have been a recent addition (within the last year) to free-space functionality.

I have a few free-spaces, so I just merge the one I want to eliminate into one of them (usually the same free-space). That way, the merge appears in the free-space Changes log (no access to the old data, though).
