Here is another family photo of Mary Binneboese with three of her sisters. This time Mary is on the far left--do you think they are lined up in order of birth? Location: Grant Township, Plymouth County, Iowa. Date: unknown.

So, comparing faces with the other photo, could this photo be of (Left to Right):

Mary Ahrendt
Louisa Ahrendt
Ida Ahrendt
Bertha Ahrendt

(I think Sophia is the missing sister in this photo compared to the one displayed earlier.) What do you think?

I am not sure if the sisters are lined up in order of their age, but I have studied both of your pictures, and I tend to believe that they are.

I was almost to the point of printing both of the pictures and just comparing them side by side. It was rather frustrating going back and forth between the two.

I agree with Paul that Sophia is the missing sister.

Good luck.

Thanks for the follow-up picture.  I tried to compare them (with some help from my husband) and we agree with the order/names you have shown above.

There are four pretty woman in the picture Each and every one of them. Mary did sneak in a smile there. I love clothing from another era. I always believe that a house makes a picture feel more home-like. Wish I had a car like that. Who is the man  wearing a vest and hat that photo bombed the picture? Thank you for sharing your family with us.

Who is the man who photo bombed the picture? Now THAT would be a real challenge (that I'm not sure I'm ready to tackle!) frown

Thanks for your reply!

It's too bad we couldn't take the top off of the Model A and take it for a ride. So hot here, it would be a great way to cool off. I don't know if anyone else would notice but we sure would look cool going somewhere.
