Are there any relatives of Eula Frances Covington nee Blackwelder (adopted by Thornburg family) NC

Question

I am seeking information about Eula Frances Covington born October 6 1904 in cabarus county NC. She was born to Joseph Cosins Pettiway Cochran and Margaret Frances Blackwelder. I know she was adopted by the Thornburg family after her mother died. I would like any information about either her father or adopted family. I have researched her mother’s side extensively and found 10 generations but I’ve hit a wall regarding her father and adoption.
