Hello Anonymous, How do you expect her to contact you when you are not making your identity visible? You should also be aware that she may miss this message that you have put on the public forum. If you wish to discuss the matter with her it would be better to either leave a comment on the profile that has been changed or send a personal message to her Wikitree id.

Wikitree is a collaborative site where we work together to improve profiles in one collective tree. You can manage profiles, but there is no such thing as «my tree» on here.

Hello anonymous,

Lynda made great points.   I would like to stress her last comment about WikiTree being a collaborative site.   The main reason I joined WikiTree was to have the work I completed not be lost when I'm no longer able to sit at a computer.   Hopefully others will continue to update the profiles for my ancestors, as more information surfaces over the decades.  AND it's likely I've made errors that will be corrected. With all the great people working on WikiTree profiles, it's worth coordinating with them......  My entire career I had to convince others my decisions were sound and listen to their ideas..... It's a little slower process but the end product is greatly improved.
These answers really help me as I always try to ask/contact people first before I make changes.  However, not always getting a response, I was not sure what to do then.  This helps me know that I can and should proceed with the changes if I do not get a response in a reasonable timeframe - like a month or so as these profiles are usually affecting family that I am adding to or orphan profiles that I have adopted.
Ruben, Thanks for the best answer star.
Beverly,

Waiting a month might be needed when the changes are controversial but some changes are so benign it's not necessary.   WikiTree is set up so unresponsive  profile managers can't stalemate you......

Enjoy the hunt!

Looks like she has been DataDoctoring at the weekly challenge correcting errors in marriages. Please keep your suggestion list clean if you don't want DataDoctors to correct errors in profiles you manage. You do not own the profiles in "your" tree.

I agree. Errors aren't good for anyone so we should all try to keep the list down. Data Doctors work through the error lists and resolve them. The only way to keep them out is to fix the errors yourself before someone else does.
