Linking to gravestone photo

Instructions on adding links to profiles say that a gravestone photo shouldn't be included unless permission is given by the photographer.  For gravestone photos from online sources, e.g. Rhode Island Historical Cemeteries, embedding a link to the gravestone photo in [brackets] won't go to the webpage photo unless one is logged in to the American Ancestors website.  What to do?  Forget the photo and just provide the source reference?

Or find another more easily accessible source.  While Find a Grave is known to have errors, it is still a good source.

Contacting the Find A Grave photographer for permission is an option.   I always allow anyone to use the photos I've posted on Find A Grave.

If you have to be logged in, especially at a pay site, then the link to the image doesn’t provide anything extra by itself. If it is the source for information then a source citation that includes the link along with details of what is at the link would cover it. That is, have the data transcription or abstraction in the citation.

AND if you're accessing a resource (photo or article or other document) from a subscription site, the usage agreement you signed may make it okay for you to download a copy of that item for your own personal use, but not to place it on another web site (like WikiTree). Doing so "robs" the subscription service of revenue (in this case a nonprofit organization that does amazing work to preserve genealogical records).
