Hi Nancy,

Is the surname spelled incorrectly? Or is it the first name or preferred name?
You should not create a new profile if you are sure this is the correct person. Duplicate profiles cause extra work and are not in accordance with Wikitree policy.
If you think there are significant errors, your first step should be to try to contact the person who created the profile.
It was middle name.  I have now made correction and merged.  Contacted manager of the site and found that we are second cousins. Thank you.

So you've met a new cousin! What a happy result. smiley

Hi Nancy,

I'm glad you have worked out this issue and have met a second cousin.

Nancy, welcome to G2G.

Please see the following help page:

If you are absolutely sure that the profile you are looking at represents the person you are looking for, go on collaborating to improve the profile. Add your sources and fix the inconsistencies.
