I understand from your earlier discussions how to FORMAT a request to be on the PGM watch list, but I have failed to figure out WHERE I put that formatted information.........i.e. how I "add it to my profile"  What is the magic word/menu option?

Is this what you want?  A PGM stamp on your profile?  I'm so confused!! lol

Anyway, here's mine ... you'll want to change the profile ID and name to be your PGM ancestor:  Maximilian Jewett ... oh, and it goes up at the top of the Bio section.

ok.  I think I got it.  I change my profile name from Stewart-### to the formatted deal you show here.  Great.  Now, another stupid question - how do I change my profile name?  Never done it before, and don't see an obvious way to do it......thanks
Got it!  And if I have 24 GPM ancestors, I do the same 24 times??
Am I correct that if I cannot prove they migrated between those dates, they aren't GPM - or do I just have to show it is likely that they migrated between those dates + or - 10 years or so........

Also, can someone look at my profile Stewart-27807 and see if I am doing this right?  I already have 16 ancestors that I think qualify, and I have not finished yet.....Is this normal?

Do I have to have rock bottom certain descendancy without any shaky links, or can a plausibly true geneaology with no real howlers in it count?

(basically do I have to go through and double check every link of every descendance?)

Thanks.  This is fun.  I thought I was coming up with a heck of a lot of Puritan names in my early american geneaology......
In order to qualify the needed to come over between 1620-1640 and you should have a certainty that they came between those dates. The Puritan Great Migration page still shows 1640 but I believe I've seen some mention on the G2G threads that it was extended to 1650.

Here's the page that explains the stickers and how the profiles are protected for those that migrated:

https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Project:Puritan_Great_Migration

I hope this helps!

I just realized you can add all the names to one stickers, here's how:

Biography
SAMPLE:

Biography
John Tillotson, Sarah Caulkins, William Hough, Robert Parke

I tested the sample about on my page and it works and links to the names listed. I did an educated guess on your ancestors so I'm not sure if my numbers are correct. You can just copy and paste for any more you need to do- just change their Wiki ID and name.

PGM representative speaking here. The dates for the Puritan Great Migration Project will not be changing to 1620-1650. The project is already too big.

Beth, it is fairly normal that if you have one PGM ancestor you have many. I have so many, I've never counted.

Gee, Pattie, I didn't know you could add more than one person to the sticker. Cool find. Mine says Nathaniel Turner and more.

To put the pgm tag on your profile. -Look at  the right hand side. Look for Followed Tags then a line of green boxes like the one above that says pgm Scroll to the bottom of the section. Click on the link that says [edit tags and tag comments] and follow directions.

As for the PGM watchlist. You may be confused or are using the terms incorrectly. The PGM watchlist is the Project Managers and some of the coordinators. Requesting to join the watchlist of your ancestors can be found in the text on the right side of their profiles.
