I need to find male Cramers born in PA between 1800 and about 1841, can you help?

Question

I'm looking for my great great grandfather who I know was born in Pennsylvania, unfortunately I don't have a first name, middle name or even initials.

His wife was Elizabeth, but I don't have a maiden surname for her, only that she was born in Germany.

He is Cramer-2190 and Elizabeth is Unknown-382890.

I've searched for burials for both of them, nothing, can't find her after 1880, or him at all.

Can anyone help with this, give me some ideas, thoughts, good juju, good vibes, something?

I checked our DNA since I have Cramers too, but no match and mine are from New York.  I checked the history of Cumberland County for you and found a few Cramers and Creamers.     You might want to also try other spellings, Kreamer, Kramer, since he married a person born in Germany, we can guess he spoke German too.   Searching for these people that you know were in the county might give you hints.

Hi Wendy, Thank you for your help. I've tried many things, but I must have missed something. I'll give these a try and see what happens. This is one of my brick walls and it's the one that is driving me crazy the most!

I took out the ones that were too old to be the father of your Cramer.

Another thing you can try is figuring out the middle names of the kids if you can.   Sometimes the middle name is a carry over of a last name from the previous generation, or the mother's maiden name.   Then go through the census lists and see if there are families with those names near families with your surname or a variant of it.
