Oo-loo-tsa was a real woman of the Holly clan born in the early 1700’s.  James Hicks says marriages of descendants support the “Holly Clan” designation.  [James Hicks' Cherokee Linages, genealogy.com] No husband is listed.  According to Starr she was the mother of a woman named Ghi-go-ne-li, who was the mother of Nannie (born about 1750) and a second Ghi-go-ne-li.  {Starr, Emmet, History of the Cherokee Indians, Oklahoma, 1921. p. 366}

All but one of the children listed are non-existent.

“Ailsey of the Paint Clan” can’t be the daughter of a woman of the Holly clan.  There is no evidence this woman existed.

“He is Lowrey”  - invented in Shawnee Heritage

Robin Ostenaco Judd – mythical daughter of Ostenaco.  He DID have a daughter who married British soldier Henry Timberlake, but this woman is either European or a myth.  Her husband Rowland Judd had no connection to Ostenaco.  [see comment on profile of Ostenaco]

“Little Flower” - mythical perso

“Jennie Ani-wa-ya” - a woman of the Wolf Clan cannot be the daughter of a woman of the Holly clan.  No evidence this woman existed as a daughter of Oo-loo-tsa.

Ghi-go-ne-li  - this is the name of the one listed daughter of Oo-lo-tsa, but her Wikitree bio is a mess.

“Oo-loo-tsa” – no daughter by this name.  The name is not unique, there were other known Cherokee women named “Oo-loo-tsa”

“Con Strau Tar Au Go Stra Fawn”   - invented in Shawnee Heritage

Thanks, Kathryn. Was the Holly clan Cherokee? We need to fix her LNAB.

I'll take an initial stab at fixing her profile; would appreciate source details. Thanks.
Yes, Holly is one of the Cherokee clans, she should have an LNAB of Cherokee..
LNAB changed.
