Awesome picture. Guess I looked at them in the wrong order, but my did they grow from this picture to the second one.

The ladies did like those shawls wrapped around their necks. We have a military person in the group  - "T" as you so fondly refer to him.  And your mother is adorable with her little page boy hairstyle. It must have been the fashion at that time, as her sisters are wearing the same style.

I wonder if this was taken in a studio.  There doesn't seem to be anything on the big wall behind them.

I love the way the family is, once again, touching each other.

I really feel there is a lot of love in this family.

Thank you for sharing both of these pictures with us.

Thank you, Cheryl, for your kind comments.  I believe the picture was taken in a studio.  They were a close family, but as the years went by they drifted apart as families do, and now they are all gone.

What a nice sized family, six kids! Makes it possible for lots of genealogy to be passed down. (I have only my two daughters since we married rather late.)

T. is wearing a uniform, and it appears to be Army. Helen looks a lot like her mother.

A really great looking family. Thanks, Robin, for sharing it with us.

Regarding T., the family story goes that he went off and enlisted when he was underage.  Since it was so important to him his parents didn't do anything about it, but his birth date shows up sometimes as an earlier date than when he was actually born.
I’ve got one of those in my family, too, Robin. In and wounded at 15, one-armed for the remainder of his short life.

Great story, Robin.
So sorry to hear about the injury and the short life.  T. lived into his 80s.
