I wanted to share this family photo of The Otis Witcher Family in the 1940s with the community. Location: Canon City, Fremont, Colorado, USA. Date: 1940s.  Standing in back, rt. to lt.,:  Ruth, Mildred, Harold, Helen, Alice; front row, lt. to rt.:  Betty, Otis, T., and Bertha.  These are my maternal grandparents, aunts, uncles, and mother (Betty).

I love, love this picture that you have shared with us.  

First of all, they picked an interesting place to have their picture taken. I am not sure where it is, but it looks like marble behind them with beautiful carved metal works.

The chairs are delightful. They seem to be made of cane and look to be very comfortable.

And last, but certainly not least, your family is very good looking.

They are very well dressed, poised and seem to be very comfortable with each other. Their casual touching and smiling shows they have respect and a great deal of love.

Thank you again, Cheryl.  I believe this picture was also taken in a studio.  As they appear in this photo is more the way I remember them.  Some of the best times in my childhood were spent with them and their children, my cousins.  My grandmother was one of the most contented and happy women I have ever known in my life.
