How can Michael Fitzgerald b1792 Ire. be the son of Wm in VA who already has son Michael? [closed]

Because a name is shared in two generations is not enough evidence to connect the two trees, especially since William Fitgerald 1750-1818 and his son Micheal were born in Virginia.  This family was originally from England, not Ireland. Michael Fitzgerald 1792 Ireland - before 16 Nov 1875 Boston, Suffolk, MA, is NOT the son of William b 1750 in Amelia, VA.  His Irish roots are like my Irish ancestor's:  not yet found.

Sorry but what leads you to believe that Michael should be detached?   He is not attached to a William and it would appear that the father he is attached to is documented.

I am totally confused by your question.   The profile you have this question on is the son of Edmund Fitzgerald, there is no William shown.   There is a duplicate brother Michael and a quick comparison indicates that same set of parents and the same wife in both biographies.

I do not understand your question.
