Head's up: Family of Powhatan cleanup underway

Question

The Native Americans project is currently cleaning up those profiles that had erroneously been edited to include a "Family of Powhatan" template.  This template was added to MANY profiles a few years back based on erroneous data. Therefore you'll be seeing Kathryn P., Jeanie T. and myself doing some cleanup on these profiles. If you have any questions or concerns, please add them here. Thanks.

I think I’ve removed the ‘Powhatan’ category from all the people who look like they are (or might be) Cherokee.  If anyone sees one that I missed, please let me know.

Moving on the remove the category from those only identified as Powhatan through the discredited “Shawnee Heritage” books.

I believe I have removed the erroneous category from all of the open profles that did not have a documented connection to Powhatan.  There are a number of profiles of living people or locked profiles that still have the category, probably incorrectly.
