Welcome to G2G!  I looked in FamilySearch for people named Postert, living in Texas between 1800 and 1900, and got 1,301 results.  Can you be more specific?

It would also be helpful to know where they emigrated from.

Postert family Anna Maria Boedeker widow of Christopher Postert from Ottenhausen, Prussia. Who is their family in Prussia?

Oh, that Postert family!  wink

At FamilySearch, I found baptism records for nine children of Christopher and Anna Maria in Steinheim, Westfalen, Prussia, between 1817 and 1833.  I could not find a marriage record or other that would connect to earlier Posterts or Boedekers.

I made profiles for Christopher, Anna Maria, and their nine children (Postert-4 through -13 and Boedeker-19).  I only put in the German sources, because I have no documents matching them to the Texas Posterts.  If you have such documents, or know where I can find them, please PM me.  I'd be particularly interested to see Anna Maria's permit to leave Prussia with her children, and some proof that Texas Christopher (b 1819) is the same person as Johann Bern, or that Anna Maria had another child in the 21 months separating Anna Sophia and Johann Bern.  (The story on FindaGrave about the travel permit is not enough. WT and the Honor Code demand the doc.)
