New Jersey Marriage Records

What is the procedure for obtaining older vital records in New Jersey, other than the online method?  I am looking for a marriage record for my grandfather who disappeared  in 1925-26.  I found a newspaper announcement in Kansas that related his marriage in Clinton, NJ in 1923 to Vivian Starbird. I have no birth information about him or anything else about his family, so obtaining this record could open up my genealogy.  Thanks.

You should be able to get it from NJ Department of Vital Statistics.  They say they have marriage records back to 1918.
