Could you link to at least one of them, please? I find it hard to understand how two people could have the same ID number.

Jessie Kirkwood Eaton is my great great grandmother

https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Eaton-439

I not connected to this lady Emily Eaton.

So here is the two profiles with the same ID number. Somehow I’ve done something that connected them together, did I accidentally merge them??  I can’t seem to undo it so that Emily Eaton retains her number or Jessie has it; or her own profile number. Are you able to sort this one out??
Panic over!  They don't have the same Wiki-ID.  Just because they both have -439 at the end does not mean they have the same ID.  I'm sure I could find some in my own part of the tree who end in -439.  The entire Wiki-ID is the surname PLUS the number.  So you have two totally separate Wiki-IDs here:
Kirkwood-439; and
Eaton-439

You don't have to do anything.

Oh ok... however when I go to carry adding in a child, a son of Jessie Kirkwood Eaton’s Profile,  Frederick, it has in brackets that he is a half sibling to Albert Woodworth Eaton Jnr. That’s incorrect, he’s a full sibling of Albert’s.

Check it out please

I think I’ve sorted it out now hopefully.
Yes, it looks like you have sorted it.  To remove that half, you needed to make sure that both children had both parents attached to them.  You probably gave Jessie as mother to Frederick, but hadn't yet put Albert as his father.
Thank you Ros for your assistance.

If two different persons have been squeezed together into one WikiTree profile by mistake, one of them needs a new profile with the correct information.

The other one will probably need to have some of the profile information corrected.

If the two are so easy to mix up, there should be a research note section
==Research note==
explaining the situation.

Which one gets to keep the existing profile is your choice - presumably one would pick the one with the correct parents. All relationships will have to be sorted out, of course.

It's not possible for two different people to have the exact same ID, either the name has a subtle difference in the spelling, or maybe you mean the one profile is connected wrongly somewhere. If you give us the ID(s) we can look and advise.
