William Terry is located on page 2 in 1841 living at Lord's Lands, Burstow, Surrey but can not locate page one

He is on his own on page 2 so wondering if there is anyone else on page 3 as well

Here is page 1 (this is the image):

"England and Wales Census, 1841," database with images, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3Q9M-CS3H-2Z5J?cc=1493745&wc=Q38T-SP5%3A1588762232%2C1588763258 : 29 October 2015), Surrey > Burstow > image 1 of 23; from "1841 England, Scotland and Wales census," database and images, findmypast(http://www.findmypast.com : n.d.); citing PRO HO 107, The National Archives, Kew, Surrey.

And here is the last person on Page 2:

"England and Wales Census, 1841," database with images, FamilySearch(https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:MQKV-Q7S : 12 December 2017), Richd Brown, Burstow, Surrey, England; from "1841 England, Scotland and Wales census," database and images, findmypast(http://www.findmypast.com : n.d.); citing PRO HO 107, The National Archives, Kew, Surrey.

Thank you Ros so frustrating when I can not find what I am looking for
Those actually aren't the correct pages. They have a different enumeration/folio number than the page with William Terry.
I can not access them anyway lol
Strange.  I went to the link Stephanie provided, then worked my way back to the beginning.

William Terry is on HO107/1076/10 page 19. (image 15)
The image I sourced above is HO107/1076/10 page 5 (image 1)

Previous to page 5 there is nothing, and it just jumps to the final page of HO107/1076/9.  Probably the missing pages are the details of where the enumerator walked.  Was that what you were looking for, Stephanie?

Looking at your question again, "page 1" is just the left-hand page of the page you are looking at.  William Terry is on his own, but there are plenty of other people on the rest of the page (including a Thomas Terry).  Why do you want to turn the page? (btw, there are no more Terrys on page 3).
I was hoping to see if he was living with anyone else or on his own to complete the 1841 census for him
You can see from the transcription that he is living on his own - that is, he is not married or anything.  He is a farmer, and the people living with him are servants and ag labs.  Looks like his farm was quite large to be employing so many people.  The 1851 census would tell you more.  The only other thing this tells you is that he was NOT 'born in county'.
still looking for 1851 and 1861 as well trying to find his wife and children but i am not giving up on him yet, and thank you Ros

found him 1851 as a

Late Of H E I C Service

and found him in 1861 as a pensioner

From his profile linked above, it looks like you have found him in the 1851/1861 census.  Or is this a different William Terry?  I found one that might be him, but married to a Mary:

"England and Wales Census, 1851," database with images, FamilySearch(https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:SGKD-DL7 : 10 November 2017), William Terry, Burstow, Surrey, England; citing Burstow, Surrey, England, p. 16, from "1851 England, Scotland and Wales census," database and images, findmypast (http://www.findmypast.com : n.d.); citing PRO HO 107, The National Archives of the UK, Kew, Surrey.

Different William Terry there Ros he definately married Susanna Bernard as the Bernard name follows down most of the children

In that case, the William in Burstow in 1841 might not be the right one.  Farmers stayed with the land (mostly), so the 1841 William in Burstow is likely to be the 1851 William.  Maybe you need to look again for another 1841 William.  How about this one in St Lukes, Middlesex, where all the children were born?

"England and Wales Census, 1841," database with images, FamilySearch(https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:MQJS-4W3 : 13 December 2017), William Terry in household of George Marshell, St Luke Chelsea, Middlesex, England; from "1841 England, Scotland and Wales census," database and images, findmypast (http://www.findmypast.com : n.d.); citing PRO HO 107, The National Archives, Kew, Surrey.

Didn't find him in the 1841 census but did find what appears to be a fourth child.

looks interesting Debs thank you

I do try and find other children when there is a big gap between siblings sometimes which sometimes helps
Also, there are several William Terrys who died between 1861 and 1871 in Gravesend, Kent which seems a far more likely death place than Surrey.
On the last page, number 17 on the census page itself  (but number 10 using the Ancestry system of counting 2 pages at once),  there is a Joseph Terry, age 15.  He is a Manservant living at "Old Hall", Burstow. He has a "Y" for born in county.

Ancestry's Page 1 is as Ros suggests - the blurb about the enumerator and  the district and which parts of the parish of Burstow it covers. Page 1 of the census ( page 2 in Ancestry ) is again,  as Ros says, the page opposite the one with William and THomas

I couldn't see any other Terrys.  Only William, Thomas, and Joseph.
Joe,

The Terrys she's researching never lived in Burstow as far as I can determine. Birth, census, and death records all indicate they lived and died in Middlesex/Kent.
Ah Ok. Thanks Deb. Stephanie's question was about the 1841 Burstow census so I just looked at that. Now I see it has probably been rejected.
A few of the Terrys did move to surrey but yes they were mainly in London/Middlesex area so should I look again or have I got the right one
Personally, I think you need to look again.  The East India Terry doesn't look too promising, I'm afraid.

Thank you Ros and this is him in 1851 occupation was Late Of H E I C Service

"England and Wales Census, 1851," database with images, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:SGLM-CRP : 8 November 2017), William Terry, Milton, Kent, England; citing Milton, Kent, England, p. 53, from "1851 England, Scotland and Wales census," database and images, findmypast (http://www.findmypast.com : n.d.); citing PRO HO 107, The National Archives of the UK, Kew, Surrey.

So for now I shall remove the 1841 census and see what else I can find for him as can not find his wife either at the moment
