"Bookmarking" unconnected cousins

Question

I'm trying to find information about my mother's father through genetic relationships (we have no other reliable info).  From FTDNA and other sites, I have assembled several clusters of Nth cousins who track back to various common ancestors.  Some of those common ancestors are on Wikitree and I would like to be able to keep track of them (and eventually connect to them, but that may be a long way off).  Since I don't know how they connect to me they aren't on my own part of the tree, and I don't see a way to add them to my watchlist.  What's the best way to organize this info?  Maybe a project or free-space?  Is there some other way to "bookmark" profiles I want to follow?  Thanks for any suggestions!

At the top-right is the drop-down menu, click Add and then New Thing.  Create a palette, Sand Box or whatever you want to call it for your future work on Wikitree.  When you access your Wikitree account it will be listed just next under Free-Space Watchlist.  Here you can list profiles you would like to follow or any number of other things that could help you with your work.  Good luck!

If you use Chrome or Firefox as your browser, I'd suggest One Tab. It's a great way to organize and "bookmark" frequently used pages.

If you use any other browser, I'd suggest creating an appropriately named folder for them and bookmarking as normal

Thanks!  I'm hoping for something within Wikitree.  The scratch pad looks like the easiest option for now.

You might need to edit the page and copy and paste the ids manually if they aren't on your watch list. There are various family tree and add unrelated person options once the list has been created.

Thanks!  That looks like a good option.  The scratch pad mentioned below is even simpler so I'm going with that for now.

Like Tim says, there is a way to make your own "To Do List" .

Another way would be to use the scratchpad on your Nav Home Page, which you will find in the drop down menu under "My Wikitree" on a profile page . Copy the links for the relevant WikiTree profiles, onto the scratch pad ( click on edit scratch pad first )  maybe make some notes, and then SAVE.  That's what I would do if it was just a handful of profiles.

Far far more complicated would be  to create a Personal Category so you can put them all in something like "My cousins to connect". See the instructions here: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Personal_Categories

Note that using a personal category is not considered suitable for either pre-1700 or Project  Protected profiles.

Thanks!!  That looks like the best option for the moment, since these profiles aren't on my watch list.  I just made my list, and it highlighted for me which of these ancestors are already in Wikitree and which aren't.  (Plus I found duplicate profiles for one and recommended a merge.)

The downside of using Personal Categories, is that you have to edit the profiles in question it order to add them to the categories... and in this particular inquiry, the profiles are likely to be uneditable living profiles.

Lisa, I've done a couple of things over the years ... I've put all of my Grosse Ile profiles on my profile page (maybe a Free Space page would be better ??) ... have a look.  Since you won't be able to actually see what I did, here's the first entry:

For my Jewett relatives (10K of 'em or so!!!) I just use a spread sheet with a new page for each generation.  I put in their number out of my Jewett source book, their name and a link to their profile.  The format of that link, for example, is:

but the only way to add living cousins to one's Watchlist, is to ask to be on the Trusted List -- which I doubt they'll want to allow.
