On Wikitree it is the aim to only have one profile per person.  So when you find profiles for your family that already exist simply connect to them instead of creating duplicates.  If there are duplicates they will need to be merged (combined).  Good luck!

There is only one tree here.  If your common grandparent is here, all you have to do is make the family connections.

If you or your cousin have created duplicate profiles then these should be merged. Start with the furthest generation back when doing the merges. The aim is to have only one profile per individual.

It is important when you are adding new people that you check first whether there is an existing profile. It fhere is then you link your branches to that with the appropriate relationship so that we can avoid duplicates.
