My husband is on the Honor Roll, POW-MIA , Wounded in Action, Purple Heart & I was going to categorize his service in USMC and USAF plus the war. Couldn't find Vietnam in the subcategories list. Darlene Scott Kerr

Terry, Thank you. It wasn't on the list that I saw of other wars, including Korea; so I thought there wasn't one at all.  However, since there is not one for the USAF, do I just add it?   Darlene

Hi Darlene yes i would add it to your Husbands profile you could also add a USAF Category if there is not one already set up as i am Australian so that is my excuse sadwhat does USAF stand for and i can see if there is already a category Terry

Terry, that is just too cute for words!  It's amazing the things we all take for granted about our cultures.  It's United States Air Force.  In the USA there are also United States Marine Corps., US Navy, US Coast Guard, US Army.  Lordy, I hope I didn't leave anyone out-I'll never hear the end of it!  There are pilots in the Navy, the Army, the Marine Corps, and the Air Force. In 1947 the US Army Air Corps was changed to a separate service called the US Air Force. My Michael says to tell you, it's like the RAAF the Royal Australian Air Force. He critiqued me. Between you and I, he has also said that the Australian warriors can fight beside him any day of the week!

Darlene,

Great profile for Michael.

The Vietnam section should be easier to find.  I have made a number of changes - should make it much easier to find.

Category:US Military History and Category: US Armed Forces are now both under
Category: United States of America which is where I usually start looking for US categories.

We also need categories for medals for Vietnam.  many have now been added see:  Category: US Military Awards

Here is the "Hanoi Hilton"

Category: Hỏa Lò Prison

in the profile you can use this phrase   :Category:Hỏa Lò Prison |"Hanoi Hilton"  with double brackets on both ends

Yes you need the special characters - I always use copy and paste.

Thank you, Phil. I don't know if you can see them, but I have a lot of medals on his page. I made them small and our daughter linked them to the wikipedia for explanations. Would it help to use some of them?

Thank you for working on it.
Thank you for the Hanoi Hilton. Do you know about "Dog Patch" it was on the Chinese border & they took high profile problem prisoners up there when we started bombing the heck out of them. The thought was that they were being held as ransom for future trouble. Do I have to put the accent marks? It's showing up in red instead of green on his page.  If so how do I do that? Do you need me to add you to Michael's Trusted List?   Darlene
