Is there a project that covers these pre-1700 Gatacre descendants?

I want to help contribute to the deep genealogy on our shared tree of the Gatacre and Gataker (including various misspelt profiles such as Gateacre and Gattaker) families who are my ancestors and relatives.

1.) Geographical region and time period:  The Geographical region is where ever the family lived but their ancestral lands and manor were attached to the township of Claverley, Shropshire, England.  The time period extends from 1900 back through to the earliest known Gatacre ancestor who died in 1286.

2.) Some example names and dates:   Elizabeth (Gatacre) Pigott Gatacre-14 c.1520-1590; Francis Gatacre c.1520 Gatacre-23 ; Humphrey Gatacre 1452 Gatacre, Shropshire, England - aft 1509  Gatacre-1 ; Joyce Gatacre 1482 Stretton, Shropshire, , England   Gatacre-2 ;  Rev Thomas Gataker (c.1650-1701)  Hoggeston, Buckinghamshire Gataker-1

3.) Source(s) for my information on them:   several editions of Burkes' Landed Gentry, Commoners, family knowledge passed down, and family research recorded at the Gatacre Manor before it was abandoned to the elements.

Before I get started adding and changing profiles, can you tell me if there is a WikiTree project that would cover these people? If so, how do I get in touch with the project members to coordinate and collaborate on the profiles?

The England Project covers these people. You can join the project by answering this G2G thread.

I have been a member of the United Kingdom project for a long time.  During this time, I have never seen the Gatacre family mentioned.
Most of these profiles are lacking in sources that could be considered evidence. If you have good sources please add the information to the profiles. Burke is not a particularly good source so looking for primary or at least contemporary evidence of any facts would be much better. To resolve the variations in spelling try and find sources that identify the name of each profile as it was at the time of their birth or failing that, the name they used during their lifetime. It may be that there will be different LNAB for individuals. You can also post specific requests for research help here on G2G or on the England Project group.

Indeed these profiles of my ancestors and relatives on wikitree are in a shocking state and an embarrassment to wikitree but apparently I can't touch them unless I am collaborating with a relevant project.

When I joined wikitree I searched out the Gatacre profiles and discovered a mess of orphaned and duplicate and disjointed and misnamed profiles with guessed dates with no sources or explanations.  I have adopted any orphaned profiles I have found and I have desired to make sense of the mess of existing wikitree profiles and add the many missing Gatacre/Gataker profiles.
However I have been stymied in my desires because any attempt to edit incorrect details on the older profiles gets this message.
Vivienne thank you for your advice and suggestions so far.   When you say that "Burke is not a particularly good source" are you suggesting that if no other source exists, that a totally unsourced profile is better than a profile that links to Burkes' Landed Gentry as a source?
